MULTI HAND BLACKJACK
One of our favourite variations on the classic game of Blackjack, Multi hand Blackjack lets you play up to five hands at once, against the dealers single hand. If you are new to Blackjack, there are a couple of simple rules to know and follow – The aim is get a hand of cards whose values are as close as possible to 21 without going over. The dealers hand must add up to less than your hand to win, and numbered cards are valued 2 to 10, Face cards are valued at 10, and Aces are either 1 or 11, whichever makes for a better hand. You are dealt two cards, face up, and the dealer has two cards, one face up, one hidden. You can either Hit, and receive another card, or Stand, if you do not want another card. If you chose to Double, you get one more card only, and your bet amount is doubled, and you can also take Insurance, if the dealers up card is an Ace. There are other options, but those are the basic ones. The dealer then reveals his cards, and the outcome of the game is decided.
In the game of Multi hand Blackjack, the player is dealt five hands of two cards each, and each hand is highlighted one at a time, with the player choosing to Hit, Stand etc. one hand at a time. When all the hands have been played, the dealer reveals their cards, and the results are shown. You tend to find that some hands win, some lose, and some are a Tie, or Push, but statistically, over the long run, Multi hand Blackjack has the same odds as any other Blackjack game. The players’ odds can be greatly improved by the use of Basic Strategy, which means following a simple set of rules on when to Hit, Split, or Stand, and below is a Basic Strategy chart that should get the house edge down to less than 1%. If you do not wish to play so many hands, you can or course, choose to play two, three, or four hands at once. Some Multi Hand Blackjack games offer a progressive jackpot side bet, by clicking Bonus Bet, and placing a £1 bet, you win prizes if you are dealt sequential Aces. If you get two Aces of different suits, you win £25, and it goes up to winning the progressive jackpot if you get four red or four black Aces dealt one after another. In Multi Hand Blackjack, the dealer will always Stand on 17, and Blackjack pays out at 3:2. If you have taken insurance against the dealers Blackjack, that pays out at 2:1.
