BLACKJACK SURRENDER
Available at many online casinos, Blackjack Surrender is best played at casinos using Playtech software, due to a rule that lets you surrender at any point of the game. Blackjack Surrender is played with the same rules as regular Blackjack, but if you think that your hand has no way of winning, you can Surrender that hand, and receive half of your bet amount back. Blackjack Surrender at Playtech casinos differs from casinos using other software in an important way. Most online casinos let you surrender either Early, or Late. Early surrender is where you surrender your hand before the dealer checks his cards for Blackjack. Late surrender is where you surrender after the dealers’ cards have been checked. At casinos using Playtech software, you can surrender both Early or Late, which gives the player a great advantage, as long as you follow a few simple rules. Surrender on 16 when the dealer has 9, 10 or Ace. 15, when the dealer has 10. Don’t surrender on Hard 12 or 13, or Soft 15 or 16, (ie, a hand made up of an Ace, and 4 or 5.) If you hold 5, 6, 7, or 8, then Hit. If you have an Ace, then Double Down. You can take out Insurance if the dealers’ up card is an Ace. This bet is half your initial bet amount, and pays out at 2 to 1 if the dealer then gets Blackjack. Players can Double Down on any two cards, and after splitting cards. You can split any hand once only, but if you split Aces, and then get dealt a 10, that hand will not count as Blackjack, just 21. When played correctly, Blackjack Surrender can improve your odds of winning.
